Dr. Rebecca King

Welcome. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience treating individuals throughout the lifespan as well as parent–child dyads using psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, somatic and attachment-based interventions.  I have been providing services in Westchester since 2001.

Specialties. I specialize in anxiety, depression, life adjustments, trauma, loss and bereavement, autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities, disruptive behaviors as well as parenting, attachment, adoption and divorce related concerns.

Background and Education. I received my doctorate from Yehsiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology after obtaining a B.A from Middlebury College.

I have worked in hospital, community clinic and school-based settings providing psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults and families.  I have led parenting classes using the evidence-based Incredible Years protocol as well as play- and attachment-based parent-infant/toddler groups.  I have provided clinical supervision to psychology and social work trainees.  During my tenure at the Reginald S. Laurie Center for Infants and Young Children in Rockville, Maryland I served as the consulting psychologist to the Montgomery County Infants and Toddlers Program conducting developmental evaluations and preschool consultations.
